In these crazy times, face masks are hard to come by! So why go to the store with no guarantee that you’ll get lucky and find some face masks when you can make them yourself.
Use this design to stitch your own face mask all in the hoop, no sewing required! Use fabrics you already have along with notions such as ribbons, elastic cord, or even elastic hair ties to make some face protection for your whole family!
It is important to choose two different and easily distinguishable fabrics for the lining and exterior fabric of your mask. When constructing and wearing your mask, be sure to note and remember which side is clean vs. exposed to avoid inadvertently coming in contact with possible viruses.
PLEASE NOTE: These masks do not function to the capacity of the N95 respirator. These masks are to be used in case of emergency when proper masks are not available and may not be efficient in protecting against viruses unless worn following the CDC’s cloth face covering guidelines.
