Founder Stephen Wilson digitized this stunning Thanksgiving table scene, citing his inspiration was originally found on a vintage postcard. We had many requests for a Thanksgiving table setting but until we saw this artwork, we could never get it right. This 8-block tile scene features a turkey, soup, wine, cake and a bowl of fruit along iwth the expected dinnerware. Each of the design elements is hand shaded for an almost painted look. Since the collection only has 8 blocks, it is a very easy scene to assemble.
Each block uses appliqué to keep stitches to a minimum. We also use our fabric saving technique with this design. None of the fabric you see in the finished project was hooped--instead, we hoop a stabilizer (or sometimes muslin in older releases like this) and use all of the visible fabric as appliqué. You will use half of the normal fabric to complete this scene. The completed scene comes in 4 different sizes, perfect for larger hoop to smaller 5" x 7" hoops. The tutorial contains instructions that will explain everything you need to know including fabric usage and thread colors. We hope you have a wonderful time embroidering this beautiful Thanksgiving tile scene!
