Creating realistic animals is one of my favorite digitizing techniques, I am usually limited in the amount of detail that can be digitized due to smaller hoop sizes. This is not a problem when creating a tile scene. Our artist Rachel Woodhouse painted this beautiful tiger specifically for this tile scene and I think the end result is wonderful! Most of the stitching in this design was hand digitized for even more realism. This is a nine block tile scene that comes in three file sizes; a medium size for the 6”x10” hoop, a small size for the 5”x7 “ hoop and a large size for the 8”x12” hoop. You will notice that we did not stitch any ribbons over the seams that join the blocks in this tile scene. This is a little more difficult because you will need to be more precise. However, there is nothing wrong with adding ribbon and we show you how this is done at the end of the tutorial.
