This collection was inspired by my children, Wren and Otto. Over the years, they’ve watched me create everything from quilts to artwork, but the pieces that have captured their excitement the most are the bag charms. Inspired by my son’s first year in Scouts — and my own fond memories growing up in the program — the Vintage Camping Collection celebrates the timeless spirit of outdoor adventure. From classic uniforms to treasured patches, scouting has always carried a sense of nostalgia and craftsmanship. Those first embroidered patches were what first sparked my love for embroidery, and after my son’s first camping trip, I couldn’t resist designing a set of camping and outdoor-themed patches of my own.

Artful Horses — A Gallop Through the Archives
I recently took a ride through the Anita Archives and—wow—look what I found! These magnificent horses first came to life almost a decade ago as appliqué designs. The original artwork was so captivating, I just had to bring them back to the digital saddle.
If you’re a horse lover, this collection will make your heart race. Each design has been completely re-digitized to pair beautifully with the Artful Embroidery collections and is now perfectly suited for framing. Every horse is stitched primarily with elegant, hand-placed running stitches—each one capturing the grace, power, and spirit of these majestic animals.
I’ve used these designs in several of my own art pieces from the American Sampler series, and they look stunning whether framed against a bold bandana background or showcased on their own.
