Anita Goodesign is constantly growing with the introduction of new, innovative techniques and projects for our customers to create through the art of home embroidery. This “Modular Medallions" Special Edition is no exception! We have created an exciting new way to piece together quilt blocks to make an exquisite, octagon-shaped quilt in multiple sizes.

This collection includes 12 unique embroidery styles that are interchangeable with one another. All 12 sets are stitched out using a bright, cheerful color palette, which creates an elegant look for each medallion design even when they are combined together. Our “Modular Medallions” pattern guide will give you a plethora of examples, which will encourage you to think outside of the “quilt block.”

As always, we want your embroidery project to be a success and one you cherish for years to come. This tutorial will show you exactly how this modular system is created using a 3-step process. You will be able to create your own home decor with beautiful projects, such as table settings, pillows, quilts, and wall tapestries. The medallions are pieced together using the conventional quilting method, however the end result is sure to be one-of-a-kind.

A World of Options

This collection includes 12 unique sets, each including 4 block styles that are used to create the finished medallion. The four designs are labeled as: octagon, left and right edge block, and brick block. These are perfectly sized to fit together to create multiple concentric levels in your masterpiece.

Sized for All Spaces

This collection is fit for quilting needs of all sizes! Simply start with the center octagon block and build the additional levels using the left, right, and brick blocks. With each additional level, the width will become larger. This is when you add the brick block to connect the left and right blocks, allowing the quilt to broaden.

Outside of the "Block" Inspiration

We have included a ton of inspiration for your medallion project, from a variety of colorway examples to creating the modular medallions using designs from different sets! We feature techniques that ensure that your finished embroidery project will blend perfectly for a show-stopping piece.

Anita Goodesign

Each medallion starts with the octagon block in the center. Using the other blocks included, you can build off of the center block creating the additional levels. Since this collection is modular, you have the capability of creating various sizes simply by adding additional blocks. We will show you how to build 3 different medallion sizes: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. The Beginner size includes the Octagon (center block) plus one additional level around the outside of it. The Intermediate and Advanced sizes will build onto the Beginner size by adding additional levels around the perimeter.
