I live in Charlotte, NC right now but I spent the majority of my life living near the ocean on the Jersey Shore. Once summer came around the beach was where everyone went on the weekends. This scene reminds me of my childhood there, lighthouses, sailboats, a beautiful beach and a sand castle. Whenever you look at this tile scene you will think of being on vacation. This was a fun collection to design. The design is completely hand shaded for extra realism. This is a nine block tile scene that comes in three file sizes; a medium size for the 6”x10” hoop, a small size for the 5”x7 “ hoop and a large size for the 8”x12” hoop. . You will notice that we did not stitch any ribbons over the seams that join the blocks in this tile scene. This is a little more difficult because you will need to be more precise. However, there is nothing wrong with adding ribbon and we show you how this is done at the end of the tutorial. I hope you enjoy embroidering this project, it was a challenge to create, but when you display it you will feel the way I do, that it was certainly worth the effort!
