Welcome to our second release in our backyard birds series, Blue Jays. We designed the collection with realistic Blue Jays and wild roses. I spent days hand shading all of the birds and flowers, then our embroidery team spent hours and hours choosing the proper thread colors and shades to come up with the finished designs. I think the results are absolutely stunning! We love working on realistic animals and flowers, nothing is more creative to design. The artwork was so lush that we couldn’t resist designing a few large projects. There are two huge floral bouquets that are done with multiple hoopings and that showcase the true beauty of both the birds and flowers. When I designed these multiple hooping projects, I made sure that each of the three or four designs that make up the arrangement can be used by themselves with equal beauty. There are also dozens of individual designs that can be used in conjunction with the larger arrangements or on their own. As you may have noticed, in some of our other collections I have been including running stitch designs. The running stitch designs compliment the larger arrangements without adding a lot of stitches. The running stitch designs look great on clothing or as a border for a quilt or you can even embroider them tonally as a fabric texture. We created both home décor and fashion projects for this collection. As with any beautiful embroidery design these designs look great on both clothing and home décor items.
