In November 2010 we released our Geisha Special Edition. The Geisha consisted of a 16 block tile scene surrounded by a beautiful floral tapestry. After the collection was released we received hundreds of requests to complete the tapestry in the middle so the project could be completed without the Geisha. We thought that was a great idea so we went to work on it. Our artists came up with a beautiful design that features more flowers and flying cranes. With the addition of this collection you now have a completely different project.
I digitized 36 new blocks for this collection and they replace the center pieces of the Geisha Special edition, to complete the full quilt you will need the Geisha Special Edition. This collection can make up to a 36 block quilt on its own. If you want a smaller project the 16 block center piece looks great as well. This tutorial contains elements from the Geisha Special Edition, the quilt is embroidered and sewn together the exact same way. The following pages give you the thread amounts and the new pattern to complete the Crane Tapestry.
