From the golden mask of King Tut to the eye of Horus and even a portrait of Cleopatra herself, our artists have done a wonderful job of recreating ancient Egyptian Icons, symbols, art and more! With this collection we had to come up with a way to keep the stitch counts within reason on our larger designs. To do this I used applique that matches the thread and decreased the stitch count from 60 stitches an inch to 10. This gives the illusion that the entire object is embroidered. For this collection we did our best to use colors that were as true as possible to color schemes used in ancient Egyptian art and artifacts.
