What started as a commission for one of my clients turned into something I couldn’t stop designing, and this is the first of several mahjong sets on the way. Volume 1 brings together everything that makes mahj night special: the tiles, the clubs, the cocktails, and a little friendly trash talk.
You’ll find bold, large-scale marquee designs like Let’s Mahj and the Mahj Card Room sign, along with vintage-style club patches inspired by old social clubs and souvenir shops: the Order of the Red Dragon, the Tuesday Night Mahj Society, East Wind Tile & Rack Supply, and the Jokers Wild Auxiliary. Then we added classic tile patches (Red Dragon, Green Dragon, Joker, and more), plus fun pieces like Lucky Bam, Lucky 8, The Charleston, and of course, Mahj Is My Cardio.
The real magic happens when you mix them. The different styles and sizes play off each other beautifully, so you can build a cluster on the back of a denim jacket, scatter a few down a shirt, or dress up a tote for game night. Every design is created as a patch, with full patch-making and attaching instructions in the Education section of the website. If you’d rather stitch straight onto your project, just skip the first two steps.

We actually sell finished patches through our sister company, Wild Threads, an accessory brand that creates charms, patches, tote bags and more, sold directly to customers and retail stores nationwide.
We wanted to bring that same experience to our Anita customers — except you have an advantage most people don't: your own embroidery machine. That means you can actually make your own! And the timing couldn't be better — personalization is the hottest segment in accessories right now.
You'll notice the downloads are priced much lower than the finished patches. Some of these designs take hours to stitch, which is why the physical patches carry a higher price tag. If you have no desire to buy the finished product, that's perfectly fine — you can always stitch your own. We just wanted you to see what we charge for the finished piece, so you can appreciate the real value of what you're downloading.
