This is probably the most unique quilting collection that we have ever created. Normally we would draw our artwork, choose our fabric, stitch our designs to match our fabric, and then create our quilt. We threw that out the window with this collection! We started by digitizing 20 different flowers in different styles and colors. We used techniques like realism, appliqué, and blanket stitch appliqué. Then we scanned all of the flowers into our design software, turned them into collages, and saved them as image files. We printed the images on to fabric using an ordinary ink jet home printer and paper backed fabric. Once we created the fabric, we used it for the borders and backgrounds of our quilt blocks. The unique part about this process is that the fabric looks like beautiful embroidery and really enhances the quilt. You won’t have to worry about choosing the perfect fabric since the provided printable fabric designs match the included embroidery designs. The best part about this collection is that you can combine it with other Anita Goodesign collections! This collection is part of the Mix & Match quilting line. All of the design collections that are in the Mix & Match line come with 5”, 6”, 7”, 8”, and 9” blocks and are fully interchangeable.
