This is the first Thanksgiving tile scene that I've created for Anita Goodesign. The inspiration was found in a vintage postcard. We had many requests for a Thanksgiving table setting but until we saw this artwork we could never get it right. This is an 8 block tile scene that features a turkey, soup, wine, cake and a bowl of fruit. Each of the design elements is hand shaded for a painted effect. This is the perfect Thanksgiving wall hanging for any household. Since the collection only has 8 blocks, it is a very easy scene to assemble. Each block uses appliqué to keep stitches to a minimum.
We also use our fabric saving technique with this design. None of the fabric you see int eh finished project is hooped. Instead, we hoop muslin and use all of the visible fabric as appliqué. You will use half of the normal fabric to complete this project. The scene comes in 4 different sizes form a jumbo hoop to a 5" x 7" hoop. The tutorial contains instructions that will explain everything you need to know including fabric usage and thread colors. We hope you have a wonderful time embroidering this beautiful Thanksgiving tile scene!
