You might be wondering why I’ve created another butterfly collection—

especially since I’ve done so many before. Over the past 20 years, I’ve explored countless designs, each one feeling perfect at the time. But as I began incorporating butterflies into my daily art practice, I realized I didn’t always have the right ones for what I needed in the moment.

That’s why I designed the **Special Edition**. It features 50 realistic butterflies, in sizes ranging from 5.5” to 7.5” wide—these are the butterflies I used in my larger paintings in the *Shine a Light* series. They’re majestic, stunning, and I truly thought they were perfect—so perfect, in fact, that I didn’t think I’d need to create another collection.

But then I started working on new series, and again, found myself missing the right butterflies. So, I returned to the digitizing table, refined more designs, and eventually released the **Signature Series**—100 smaller butterflies, from 2.6” to 3.6” wide. I thought, “These are great—they might be all I need.” Yet, as time went on and I began creating larger wall-mounted butterfly swarms, I realized the detail wasn’t enough for the big pieces I was making.

That led me to work on the **Butterfly Studies** collection, which I am truly proud of. These detailed designs are for sizes from 6” to 12”, each one a tiny piece of art—more intricate than anything I’ve made before.

Honestly, I know this all sounds a bit confusing. It was for me too! So, I took the sizes and styles from the various collections—Special Edition, Signature, and others—and combined them into this new one. The goal was to create a single, versatile collection that clears up any confusion about where a butterfly comes from.

All 100 designs have been resized into 7 different sizes, up to 5.5” wide. Whether you’re adding them to artwork, jewelry, or any craft project, these butterflies are ready for anything you need. I can’t promise this will be the last collection—I’ve learned that every time I think I’m done, something new emerges. But I can promise that this collection will be your constant companion whenever you want to add a touch of wonder with a butterfly.
