Welcome to the next installment of our Vintage series. This collection is called Vintage Borders and they will look beautiful embroidered on table linens, sheets, pillow cases or even on garments. There are 20 different designs and each is digitized in two different ways. The first way is with standard stitching and the second version is digitized as running stitches. These designs look beautiful when embroidered tone on tone, but for our examples we used sage and tan colors, using these colors allows you to see the detail in the designs. Since this is a border collection we digitized a basting stitch with all of the designs that were meant to connect. If you have never done a continuous border design before, don’t fear! We’ve included a tutorial that will demonstrate the process step by step. If you don’t want to make the borders continuous, simply skip the first thread color, which is the basting stitch. Not all of the designs are continuous; some of them are corner or motif elements.
