Today, we’re featuring one of our newer releases in celebration of the new year: Cheers to the New Year! This collection was released in November 2022, so if this is the first time you’ve heard about it, no worries! These designs are quick and easy to stitch out, just in time for your glamorous New Years’ party.
STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT
This collection comes with 10 circular designs in 3 different sizes for a variety of creative projects! Create shirt pins and magnets by adding some Pellon Pel-tek or Stitch & Shape. Hang these designs in circular picture frames for unique wall art, or add a piece of batting to make embroidered coasters, ornaments, or wine charms. You can even create fun photobooth props by adding a wooden rod to the back of your circles. There’s no limit to what you can create!
STEP 2: GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
We created this collection using a mixture of standard Floriani polyester and metallic embroidery threads. Whenever you’re using metallic threads, make sure to have a thread net or thread stand handy, as these tools prevent your thread from breaking! Each design uses a bean-stitched circle to surround the embroidery within. With an average of 5,000-9,000 stitches each, these designs will stitch out quickly!
The greatest part about this collection is its versatility. You can use a variety of materials for your base fabric, so don’t be afraid to get creative! If you choose to make a magnet or pin that requires a sturdier material, you may need to consider adding Stitch & Shape, batting, or Pellon Pel-tek to your supply list.
STEP 3: PERSONALIZE YOUR PROJECTS
You might notice that a few of these designs include numbers to indicate the calendar year. In order to use this collection every year, we recommend our Anita’s Fonts Collection. Using these numbers, you can stitch the correct digits for the corresponding new year.
Anita’s Fonts’ “F” and “G” font sizes fit perfectly for the designs in “Cheers to the New Year.” You can also update the numbers using the standard font that comes with your embroidery machine,
